    Self- publishing writers don't have to sell thousand of copies in order to have their work survive imprint, editions numbering in his or her low hundreds make splendid economic sense so long as over head can be kept down. As a rule, you can select a size for your first printing that will virtually ensure that you break even on it. And because a small first edition can serve as a trial run. Later, and perhaps larger, print will be less risky, e books will be a real good thing to look into.
