Queen Elizabeth a part of Bahamian history, She was their queen for years She would from London. The community would have a big parade. Everything were so beautiful, Queen Elizabeth help to develop the Islands. She cared what happen to them. This was a time of peace, love, and joy.

The Bahamian stared to build little business house to sell things. They would get shipped material from USA this costed lots of money. But they did it. They open their own stores. Over seas Banks help out and moved some of their brances there. the tourists begain to increase. Money stared to come in to each home and thing get better, things get better with time.

Take a look at the Bahamas than, and now
By Dorothy E. Miller

In writing back in the 70's, a new book and frist book for me was a great thing. And to look at the Bahamas now we have come a long way baby. That why I was so surprise to see the Chinese with so many places of business. After all the suffering, and doing without, then it's China. Bahamians were sleeping on the ground and at the beach. To let someone else take over, sound funny to me. I lived through it all with the Bahamians community.

This town Bahamas have come a long ways, sense I wrote The Manuscript Of A Black Caucasian. Then there were no light at night, or water you had to have juggs of water for your bath and cooking. The water went off at 11:am in the day. There was know refrigerators only only ice box. The ice man would come to refill the community ice box with ice everyday.

My family was so lucky they had more than most of the Ialand Bahamian. At night I would go to the Casino where the tourist were. I would get there around 12:30am and go to the beach and relax, to be cool no Air condition in the summer.  On the beach

a very cool breeze. There would be cooking going on all night.
This was the Bahamian way of living and drinking lot of rum.
